If the institution's contract’s First Student Activation Date is today or a date in the past, students will receive a registration email as soon as an administrator creates their account, assigns a contract to that account, and does not set a password for the user.

If the contract’s First Student Activation Date is in the future, students assigned to that contract will not receive a registration email until that date.
